Motivational speaker
I have now RETIRED as a MET Police officer/supervisor after having worked full time for 30 solid years and I proudly achieved this with a completely unblemished and exemplary career!
My thirst for motivating and coaching is borne from a desire to pass on my knowledge and experience whilst helping others to succeed in their lives and to help them achieve their goals and be successful.
As such, I have always worked hard in everything that I do and as a result I have immersed myself in many things throughout my life gaining invaluable experiences and knowledge whilst overcoming so much adversity and soul-destroying struggles where I have constantly dug deep to find a way out to survive, win or be successful.
Above all else I have always held the unshakeable belief that I am never out of the fight and so I will NEVER GIVE UP…

This is my backstory and why they call me the Never give up guy...
I served for 30 years as a Met Police officer/supervisor
I joined as a MET Police officer at 19yrs old and was told that due to shift work, stresses of the job, harsh things that I would see and being BAME that I wouldn’t make it to the end but despite all of the negativity and with great determination, I proved everyone wrong. I endured the impossible battle over 3 decades of policing where I was involved in the most horrendous of incidents, personal attacks and witnessed shocking situations and ones that I will be discussing in concise detail in future YouTube/Podcasts and during my speaking engagements. I will talk about my severe mental health and how I showed fortitude in the face of extreme internal and external adversity and how I was forced to delve deep into the darkest and most painful recesses of my mind and heart all throughout to find the resolve and strength to forge on. Nevertheless, I proudly SURVIVED and subsequently RETIRED at the ripe old age of 49 years old and with a professional, unblemished and exemplary service record.
NEVER GIVE UP when others say you can’t do something, do it and do it well...
I had 5 serious knee operations and still won over 70+ Squash tournaments
I had 5 knee Operations over the years and progressively DRs said my knee was the worst bone on bone they had seen as I was stage 4 and my tibia had a huge crater in it where the bone had been ground down by my femur and with not a meniscus or articular cartilage anywhere to be seen with Drs insisting that I immediately quit ALL sport. Despite these setbacks I continued with my goals and over the decades won over 70+ trophies as a semi-Pro squash player despite wearing a heavy-duty knee brace and being in pain. In recent times however as the pain exacerbated and there was enough safety data regarding a relatively new procedure then I thankfully underwent a final knee operation called a HTO (exactly what David Goggins had too…) where my knee was finally fixed once and for all. However, the main takeaway was that I still lived my best moments by winning such epic 64 draw tournaments over the years and never missing out on those magical moments and this was all achieved with my unwavering desire, determination and above all else my never give up attitude.
NEVER GIVE UP on your goals and live for those great moments in your life…
I was a Chief Instructor of Kung Fu for over 25 years
I worked extremely hard and earned several black belts over the years in different disciplines including a 2nd Degree in Kung Fu and many people said that it was would be impossible to break away from my organisation and run my own clubs. However, I never listened to the naysayers and did exactly this and ran successful clubs across the UK with assistant instructors under me and produced many great black belts.
NEVER GIVE UP when people raise doubts about your abilities, just smile and follow your dreams…
I went blind for months and was told I would never see again
I went BLIND for MONTHS after a serious eye infection when I had just joined the Met Police and many experienced eye-hospital Drs said over and over that I would never see again. However, I refused to accept this and I fought back and dug in each and every day and I knew I was never out of the fight. Later, Drs called me a miracle when my eyesight returned MONTHS later – Instead I called it BELIEF and never giving up and fundamentally refusing to know when you are beaten.
NEVER GIVE UP on the power of belief and remember if you want something bad then go get it…
I became an author and published over 20 books despite constant rejections
I have always loved writing and had some great ideas and as such I wanted to publish my books but every publisher I turned to for many years rejected my books and no-one gave me a chance. Despite this set-back, I self-published many books and sold record copies with one book reaching number 1 on a list proving you must always find a way to do something if you want it bad enough. NEVER GIVE UP on your passion in life…
I coached my kids to Squash success despite no coaching qualifications
I was constantly told that my kids needed a proper qualified Squash coach if they were to win trophies and become good players
but I never listened and I simply coached them with the exact same methods/drills that I used to coach myself in my erstwhile days and with the same tactics I deployed to win all of my tournaments across the UK.
This squash journey all started when I had made a pact with myself after I survived from nearly dying on my hospital deathbed (more about this towards the end of this page) and months after surviving I went on to build a small wooden, make-shift Squash court in my garden when they were younger to start them off. I always limited their squash to a few hours per week (a system we are all still happy maintaining to this day so as to avoid burn-out and to enjoy life with a nice balanced approach to everything) and with this system, my coaching, tactics, support and total belief they went on to achieve the following;
- UK No 1 several times
- Multiple County champions
- National champions
- Professional players
- Winners of over 150 trophies between them
- The first ever Sikh boy to represent England
NEVER GIVE UP on your beliefs as people will never share your vision…
I suffered personal tragedy over the past 3 decades but fought on
Losing the majority of my birth family in my 20’s with just my beautiful Sister and I left was soul-destroying and destined to break me but I stood firm and never let this heartbreak define me and instead;
- I travelled the World to over 60 countries,
- My Sister and I appeared on multiple Gameshows on TV including, 5 mins to a Fortune, Exit List, Blockbusters (where I won the 1st ever Gold run) and I even tried my luck on Total Wipeout in Argentina.
We laughed, cried, built memories and lived our lives with no regrets and I was determined to never let anything grind me down and accepted that sometimes having personal tragedies in your life at such a young age meant it was just the way it went. NEVER GIVE UP despite the cards that life has dealt you…
I achieved a MSC degree whilst working as a Police officer in my forties
Many people said that with the Police job, family, kids and being in my 40’s that it would be impossible to study and try and earn a MSc degree due to the complexities of such a tough qualification. I refused to listen to those who said it would be impossible and proudly achieved it anyway regardless of the odds.
NEVER GIVE UP on improving yourself and setting your own bar high…
I learned the 11+ curriculum and helped my children pass their exams despite the odds
I have never taken an 11+ exam or even studied the curriculum but I took it upon myself to do this and helped all 3 of my children gain their spots in Grammar school with record scores. This was despite everyone around me telling me that I was doomed to fail as I was not a teacher and had no clue about the 11+ system but I remained focussed and thankfully it paid off.
NEVER GIVE UP on doing things you are uncomfortable with if you have confidence in yourself…
I survived severe life-threatening illnesses with CRP levels at 587 and Drs accepted I was to die
I survived double pneumonia, severe blood poisoning that was ravishing my entire body, double lung pleurisy (with drains pumping blood and pus out of my lungs), MRSA, multiple-organ failure, type 2 respiratory failure and CRP levels at 587 (with anything over 200 considered fatal…) and this was all at the same time in 1 brutal and painful sitting over 5 tumultuous weeks in hospital where I was even put in a side room to die.
The doctors told me that it was a miracle that I survived and that no-one with the illnesses that I had along with CRP levels that high gets out alive and with doctors also telling me that it was years of playing high level sports (squash) that saved my life as my heart refused to give out along with my absolute refusal to throw the towel in. I remember making my mind a fortress at the time, reciting mantras to myself and making a pact with God as I knew it was down to me to find a way out from my deathbed and the inevitability I was destined to die. I am glad that my indomitable fighting spirit never let me down and I had the courage and willpower to dig deep mentally and despite losing 3 stones, being on full oxygen and not having eaten for weeks I nevertheless fought back with every vestige of strength and mental fortitude I could muster and it worked. The doctors remained incredulous with my survival and later gave me a printout of my 587 CRP scores for posterity and a badge of purpose as I moved forward with my life.
I now forever wear a chain embossed with the names of my family, Never give up and 587 as a reminder.
NEVER GIVE UP as you are never out of the fight…
You can never be a motivational speaker
I would often tell people of my dream and my destiny to be a motivational speaker but I was laughed at and ridiculed as I was told that it takes a certain type of person to do this and be successful. I have never listened and instead I have now built a highly successful motivational business where I am focussed on empowering people from all over the world and from every walk of life.
I have many stories to share and my love for motivation and coaching will thrust me to where I want to be regardless of all of the negativity that comes when you share your dreams and then attempt to stand by them.
NEVER GIVE UP on being happy, ambitious and achieving your calling in life…
I will end by saying that I am a straight talking, no-nonsense motivational speaker and these traits have been honed from my lifetime of experiences. I always speak from the heart and deliver all of my messages directly and with passion!
In saying that, I am also extremely passionate to help YOU to unleash the tools, systems and processes that have helped me for years to find success, to survive, to win, to endure and to overcome everything that life has thrown at me and then some more…
Feel free to share this journey with me and stay blessed, healthy, happy and always remember;
You are never out of the fight - So NEVER GIVE UP!
